Efficiency corrections for mutually inclusive variables and particle identification effect for mixed-cumulants in heavy-ion collisions

چکیده

Mix-cumulants of conserved charge distributions are sensitive observables for probing properties the QCD medium and phase transition in heavy-ion collisions. To perform precise measurements, efficiency correction is one most important step. In this study, using binomial model, we derive formulas mutually exclusive inclusive variables. The UrQMD model applied to verify validity these different types correlations. Furthermore, investigate effect multiplicity loss contamination emerging from particle identifications. This study provides an step toward future measurements mixed-cumulants relativistic

Screening Corrections in Simulating Heavy Ion Collisions

One year ago, we presented a new approach to treat hadronic interactions for the initial stage of nuclear collisions . It is an effective theory based on the Gribov-Regge formalism, where the internal structure of the Pomerons at high energies is governed by perturbative parton evolution, therefore the name “Parton-Based Gribov-Regge Theory”. The main improvement compared to models used so-far ...

Particle Interferometry in Heavy-ion Collisions

By measuring hadronic single-particle spectra and two-particle correlations in heavy-ion collisions, the size and dynamical state of the collision fireball at freeze-out can be reconstructed. I discuss the relevant theoretical methods and their limitations. By applying the formalism to recent pion correlation data from Pb+Pb collisions at CERN we demonstrate that the collision zone has undergon...

Particle Ratios in Heavy-Ion Collisions

In framework of statistical models, we calculated different particle ratios in the collision energy range 3.5 < √ sNN ≤ 200 GeV. Assuming that the particle production takes place along the freeze-out curve, we studied the sharp peak in the K+/π+ ratio observed at SPS energy. Allowing γi, the phase space occupancy parameters of light and strange quarks, to take values other than that of equilibr...

Strange Particle Production in Heavy Ion Collisions

Strangeness production in heavy ion collisions at relativistic energies provides one of the key information about the reaction mechanism and could indicate the onset of new phenomena. The attempts to describe the measured particle ratios including strange hadrons at AGS and SPS and recently also at RHIC using a strangeness fugacity are very successful [1]. However, the usual grand-canonical tre...

Two-particle interferometry for non-central heavy-ion collisions

In non-central heavy ion collisions, identical two particle Hanbury-Brown/Twiss (HBT) correlations C(K,q) depend on the azimuthal direction of the pair momentum K. We investigate the consequences for a harmonic analysis of the corresponding HBT radius parameters R ij . Our discussion includes both, a model-independent analysis of these parameters in the Gaussian approximation, and the study of ...
